How to Manage Job Application Email Notifications 

Control how and when you receive email notifications about new applications on Project Casting.

 Overview

Project Casting gives you different ways to manage job application email notifications.

Your profile-level notification preferences still include two options:

  • Intelligent Matching — Receive digest-style updates with recommended or relevant applicants.
  • Real-Time Submission Notifications — Receive an email whenever an applicant submits to your job.

For individual job posts, you now have a third option:

  • No Email Notifications — Do not receive application notification emails for that specific job.

This gives you more control over high-volume jobs or listings where you prefer to review applications directly in Project Casting.

Set Notifications When Posting a Job

You can choose your notification preference while creating a new job.

During the final Confirm step of the job posting process, find Job Applications Email Notification and choose:

  • Intelligent Matching
  • Real-Time Submission Notifications
  • No Email Notifications

Your selection will apply to that specific job.

Change Notifications for an Existing Job

You can also change the notification preference after a job has been created.

Open the job you want to update, select Edit, locate the Job Applications Email Notification setting, choose your preferred option, and save your changes.

This allows you to turn application emails on or off for a particular job without changing your overall profile notification preferences.

Notification Options Explained

1. Intelligent Matching

Tooltip: “Receive daily or weekly updates with recommended matches based on job criteria.”

This option uses Project Casting’s smart matching system to identify and highlight the most relevant applicants for your job. Instead of sending you every submission, it bundles top matches into a digest email, delivered daily or weekly depending on your account preferences.

Great for reducing noise and focusing on quality.

2. Real-Time Submission Notifications

Receive an individual email alert for every applicant who submits to your job. Ideal for time-sensitive roles, this setting helps you respond quickly and stay on top of all new activity.

3. No Email Notifications

Do not receive application notification emails for that job. You can still review applications directly on Project Casting.

Profile vs. Job Notification Settings

Your profile continues to provide the two standard notification preferences: Intelligent Matching and Real-Time Submission Notifications.

The No Email Notifications option is available at the individual job level, either when posting a new job or by editing an existing job.

This makes it possible to customize notifications on a job-by-job basis without changing your general notification preferences.

Pro Tip: Customize Per Job

You can choose a different notification setting for each job you post. For example, enable real-time alerts for urgent roles, and use intelligent matching for long-term or high-volume listings.
